The Bill Maher quote is especially meaningful to me as I didn't become involved with politics until 2007! I volunteered so many hours to help elect President Obama. It was only after that effort that I began to realize how important local politics is as well ! At that time, my state (VA) had a red legislature. In 2018, we changed that! Trump's election was a gut punch to me and the next 4 years brought one horrific action after another. We can't ever go back! We must reform the filibuster and pass HR1!
