Just wanted to say hello, and if you have noticed how quiet Politicsrus has been, it's because Martin is in a coding coma, and working out a lot of bugs in the back office. I am learning a Trello-like card system, the emails, notifications, etc. Have found some issues, but we are plodding along.
There is a lot at stake here, we all know this. This site is dedicated to bringing all Resisters and others interested in Amercan politics a social messaging adjunct to help you advocate right down to your own neighborhood. I am excited for what I have been seeing behind the scenes in the testing areas, so please hang in there with us. Saving a Nation is going to take a village, even one from England and around the world. Democracy is a valiant goal, imperiled, but not lost.
I hope everyone is enjoying some freedoms from COVID and a grand summer. Take care, Cathy
Howdy Cathy!
I was very inspired to see that Louise had posted a series of articles on the blog section. It looked very promising. Unfortunately, I was too bogged down with real life to join her in posting... until today! I've posted by first article to the blog and hope to do so on the regular.
I understand that starting this ambitious of a project takes a lot of work and effort usually by too few. However, there are things that people like me and the other casual members can do to help.
(1) We can write blog posts.
(2) We can make it a point to comment on the posts that others write.
(3) We can become more active on the forums, too.
(4) We can share posts to our social media.
But, to make those things happen effectively, we need some nudging from someone at HQ, so to speak. I know that I haven't put as much effort into it as I could've and would've had I been helped along. Is there someone out there who could do the nudging?
Just a thought. The site looks great. I'm excited to see it come together. I want to contribute, but I'm just not sure how.
Huzzah!
