Let me take a moment to thank you for visiting the home to Politicsrus, the home for my Truth Matters Twitter account.
Over the last year we have built a reputation for delivering high quality political ads, promoting a Democratic agenda to establish a more equitable society in which ALL Americans have a stake in their future, and not just the chosen few. Politicsrus is an organisation that supports policy to address climate change and promote Democratic values. In pursuit of a better tomorrow, we support racial, social and economic justice. We believe in police reform, a $15 minimum wage and affordable healthcare for all. For us, this is not a liberal wish list, it's a set of attainable goals that can be met in any modern democracy.

We are not here to talk about delivering a better future for our children, we're here to do something about it, by helping create awareness of the transformational change that this administration can bring about, if we create an antidote to the poison that has been dripped into the ears of voters over the last four years. We believe in delivering emotionally connecting messages that tell the truth about the great opportunities that lay ahead if we can just remove this cancer of racism division and hatred of minorities from the political conversation.
The wealth and prosperity of America has been built on the blood, sweat
and tears of slaves and immigrant workers
It really is time to grow up and wake up to the modern reality that diversity is a huge benefit to society. It brings with it new ideas and fresh perspectives on life. Since the days of the Founding Fathers, the wealth and prosperity of America has been built on the blood, sweat and tears of slaves and immigrant workers. Even to this day, minority communities are the fuel in the engine that drives the US economy and yet these Americans are looked down upon and discriminated against each and every day because they are not white. And, some have to work multiple jobs just to put food on the table and keep a roof over their head. In fairness, this is not limited to minority workers, there are many white Americans faced with the same every day reality that they are part of those forgotten and left behind.
America has changed for the better since the days of segregation and yet there are dark forces in the highest places, who would return to segregation in a heartbeat given the opportunity. The changing racial landscape of America, is driving fear in the Republican Party that power is slipping away forever, so they have embarked upon a campaign to remove the Constitutional right to vote of minorities by any means necessary.

Racism has become the central plank of the GOP political agenda and they are betting the house on fuelling the new Republican base on a diet of hatred of others and fear that Blacks are going to invade their white communities, driving down housing prices and driving up crime. It is pure fantasy messaging, but it's one that resonates in the fervor of nationalist rage that the former president has awakened in the Republican heartlands.
The 'Big Lie' has now been normalized and for Republicans, the truth has become inconvenient and irrelevant in the political conversation. Alternative facts are the new norm, because they have come to understand that disinformation and lies, are the new weapons of political war. The Republicans DO NOT have a policy vision or a political platform. Their message to the American people is: 'Democrats never get anything done'. What they fail to mention is, this is largely because they are blocking every attempt by any Democrat administration to legislate, in order to create a better future for Americans and their families.
It's time to say NO to this agenda of racism
It's time to say NO to this agenda of racism, denial of the truth and the seeking of power at any cost. That's where we come in. I don't want to describe us as a movement for change because the Democratic Party represents that. I know that progressive Democrats think the pace of change is far too slow, but my argument is 'one step at a time.' As individuals, we are but a drop in the ocean of hatred and division being sown by the GOP. However, together we can build in impenetrable ocean wall to hold back this tsunami of racism greed and division, if we get smart and work together.
